Welcome to my land of insanity. I spend many hours of my life building these playlists and spreadsheets through a compulsion to collect and document art data that I love.
After my Surf Rock Classics playlist took off on Spotify, I was so thrilled that people were enjoying it, so I wanted to build this site to utilize Search Engine Optimization so more people could discover all my lists!
I’m a filmmaker in Los Angeles but have a deep love for music, preservation, and aggregation of information. I see many live shows a year and spend many hours researching music. I have built many large genre libraries of music and I thought it important to share with the wider world what I found and have spent so much time to build.
I have my issues with streaming platforms, like not paying artists a decent price for their art, but Spotify has allowed me to discover so much music, of which I give back by sharing like this, by purchasing physical albums, and seeing them live.
I have a passion for organization, archiving, and cataloging so this page is a place for me to share this with the world. I also come from a time of obsessively torrenting when we all thought it could get shut down at any minute and we had to collect as much as we could in the limited time we had. This is my way of adapting. Even though Spotify and Apple Music don’t have the amount of organization and sorting tools as iTunes did back in the day, and in this day and age of billions of songs at our fingertips, these large catalogues help me to organize and gather all of my favorite artists and songs into one place and more easily come back to find them!
